Jorginho's time at Chelsea near the end?

Jorginho's time at Chelsea near the end? Chelsea play Crystal Palace tonight with the Blues looking to repeat the performance against Watford on Saturday night, to help cement their place in the top four.  During the 3-0 win over Watford, injury concern hit N'golo Kante, who had to be subbed off in the 78th minute with a tight hamstring. Lampard stated "Kante will not be in the squad. He hurt his hamstring, [it is a] low-level hamstring injury."..."We are hoping it is going to be a week or so. We are going to see how it goes but I would suspect we would be very lucky to have him for Sheffield United". The injury of Kante is a dilemma for Lampard. Since the restart, Kante has starred in all five matches keeping Vice Captain, Jorginho, out of the starting XI. Rumours have been bubbling that Jorginho has fallen out of favour with Lampard and his playing time proves that. Jorginho influencing an away win at Arsenal    Chelsea fans feel as th...

Chelsea back line in need of desperate reshuffle...

Chelsea back line in need of desperate reshuffle... Its not the first time this season Chelsea's back four has been up for criticism, It's been a problem for Frank Lampard ever since he arrived. First move Lampard made with his defence was showing Chelsea legend, David Luiz, the door after just a month in charge. Now as this season draws to a close, it's time for Lampard to hit some more home truths, as mistakes are mounting up. So let's start from each position... Goalkeeper Chelsea signed Spanish goalkeeper, Kepa Arrizabalaga, for a world record transfer goalkeeper fee of £71.6m. The hope was that he was going to be the next David De Gea, a young goalkeeper to be the backbone of this Chelsea squad for the next 7 years.  Admittedly, I feel as though Kepa had a good first season for Chelsea. He had won us two penalty shoot outs, one coming in the Europa League Semi-Final against Eintracht Frankfurt and another coming in the League Cup Semi-Final VS ...

Fernando Torres- Is he one of Chelsea's most important EVER players?

Fernando Torres- Is he one of Chelsea's most important EVER players? With legendary striker, Fernando Torres, preparing to retire from football after 18 glorious years, I will be telling you why I think he is up there with some of Chelsea's most important EVER players. European Nights When it comes to Fernando Torres and European goals, they pretty much go hand in hand, especially with his time at Chelsea...                                                         2011/12 Torres hopping over Victor Valdes  It was the 24th of April 2012, Chelsea played Barcelona away in the Semi Finals of the Champions League with the tie currently at 2-1 to Barcelona but Chelsea were still going through due to away goals. The then interim manager, Roberto Di Matteo, turned to Torres for some fresh legs in the dying moments of the game. A...

TIME UP FOR AZPILICUETA?

IS TIME UP FOR AZPILICUETA? For the last 7 seasons Cesar Azpilicueta has probably been Chelsea's most consistent, most reliable and most flexible defender at the club. But with a poor start to the 2019/20 season and youth possibly catching up behind him - but is his Chelsea career coming to an end?   Career at Chelsea Azpilicueta joined the then Champions of Europe for a fee of £6.5 million from Marseille and won the Europa League in his opening season being a key player in the competition and starting right back in the final.  He then went on to overtake the recent retiring Chelsea legend Ashley Cole in the pecking order at left back which left lots of Chelsea fans not too pleased with Cole then subsequently losing his England place too. Mourinho in the past had been known to take important club players out of the starting XI before they demised previously doing the same at Real Madrid with goalkeeper Iker Casillas. But despite this, Azpilicueta soon sho...

CHELSEA 1 - 1 LEICESTER CITY - REVIEW

CHELSEA 1 - 1 LEICESTER CITY  REVIEW   It was not the result Frank Lampard would of wanted on his return to The Bridge with a disappointing 1-1 draw against a fellow top 6 competitor. There was still a shining light in the game with Mason Mount getting on the scoresheet for his first ever professional Chelsea goal but Lampard's Chelsea still remain without a win...  Match Review... Right from the whistle Chelsea looked on top. We were pressing quickly, our passing was slick, we were competing and winning every ball in the air and were finally rewarded with a fantastic Mason Mount solo goal in the opening 7th minutes when Mount tackled holding midfielder N'didi to go on and finish the ball whilst appearing to trip over.  It was a good start... up until the 35th minute. Chelsea seemed to of left the door ajar and allowed pressure to rise leaving Leicester with lots of possession in the last 15 minutes of the first half and were causing some alarmin...

CHELSEA VS LEICESTER CITY - PREVIEW

CHELSEA VS LEICESTER CITY PREVIEW BIG GAME AHEAD... Preview This Sunday will rule to be an important one for Frank Lampard as his first home game as manager will be an exciting but difficult fixture. Chelsea were torn apart against Man United last weekend and yet still showed signs of positive play but despite losing to penalties against Liverpool in their mid week clash, it was more of a moral victory for the blues by taking the European Champions the whole 9 yards. Big Game Ahead... In my opinion, Chelsea need a win this Sunday. Lots of people believe that Leicester are contenders for pushing the top 6 all the way this season with an exciting, quick and counter attacking squad along side Wolves and a defeat Sunday would only strengthen those arguments. Anything but a win for Chelsea will be disappointing for us. We need to get points on the board and show that we can match with the other top 6 competitors. As tough as Leicester may be I believe we'll get the win th...

SUPER CUP REVIEW - LIVERPOOL 2 - 2 CHELSEA (5-4 PENS)

SUPER CUP REVIEW  LIVERPOOL 2 - 2 CHELSEA (5-4 PENS) It was a heartbreaking night for Chelsea fans everywhere. After such a disappointing display at Old Trafford on the weekend, a win against Liverpool would of lifted hope for the upcoming season and taken off pressure from Lampard with an early trophy but unfortunately and unfairly , lost 5-4 on penalties due to a Tammy Abraham missed penalty. My Thoughts On The Game... From start to finish (120th minute) Chelsea were by far the better side. I thought the line up was a much better improvement compared to the side against United on Sunday with more experience coming from Giroud and Kante but of course any team with Kante in it is always going to improve! It was hard luck, we played some excellent football and competed with the best side in Europe and outplaying them too! There were elements of #SarriBall in last nights game going to a 4-3-3 with Kante playing in a similar a role to last season...but it seemed as...
